Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend. I’m happy because my shin splints are completely gone and I was able to run again over the weekend. YAY!
I still felt like I needed to be cautious and so I kept my distances pretty short. One treadmill mile on Friday night (followed by a killer leg workout) and 1.5 outdoor miles on Saturday.
On Friday night I got to the gym and realized I did not have any hair tights. I headed the gym’s front desk and asked the ladies up there if they had any. Unfortunately they didn’t. However, they suggested me to cut the edge of a latex glove (the ones that the use for cleaning) and use it as one. It worked perfectly!
I wasn’t quite hungry after that workout so I aimed for a pretty small dinner.
Breakfast the next morning was special. I would normally eat a piece of bagel with PB before heading out to my long run. I did not have a any long run this time around so that gave a little extra time to prepare this. The muffin is a Protein Banana Muffin from Trader Joe’s.
On Sunday I went to Whole Foods to get some Supplements. Why at Whole Foods and not at GNC / Vitamin Shoppe? I have no idea. The good thing is that I ended up paying less, and got to drink a green smoothie. This one had Kale, spinach, green apple and pineapple = delicious.
I’m absolutely not a juice/smoothie person, because I can’t finish them up. But for some reason, I passed by the smoothie section at the store and wanted one really bad. I managed to almost finish it which made me believe I could drink healthy stuff like this more often.
