  1. With that alligator warning sign I’d have noped out of there so fast. Alligators are terrifying, fortunately I don’t have to worry about them in Michigan.

    I’m trying to start paying better attention to what I eat, because I’d like to lose 10ish pounds this summer. Mostly I’m focusing on what I need to add to my diet (more fruits and veggies) instead of what foods I need to eat less of. I could never give up carbs. Never.

      Lol! Yes I almost do that too. But they are so common in Florida that you get to a point where you decide between taking the tiny risk or stop running. And yeah, I am trying to focus my nutrition on adding nutrients instead of banning foods from my diet. I could never give up carbs either!

      Oh my God! I will die if I see a snake. They scare me even more than alligators. However, they’re not very common at the places I run so that’s why I never talk about them. Thank you for stopping by, Emily!

  2. Before my running days, my husband and I went on the Atkins low carb diet. Lost several pounds so fast, but we were so freaking tired all of the time. I would have really hard time with that now!
    I’m glad you are able to get in that mental release that you need from your run. It must be so tough hearing about your country and being away from them. 🙁

      Thank you Lisa! Running is my happy and release time. I’m so grateful that I’m able to do it, and that I’ve actually found an activity that I really love and gives me all of those amazing benefits. And oh my God, I really admire you for trying out the Atkins diet. Giving up on carbs would have been so hard for me even before my running days.
